INFLUENCES
I grew up between the US and China. My childhood summers spent in Beijing have lent me an insatiable curiosity about the historical and social relationship between the two countries and the people who identify with both countries. The short docuseries I produced on Asian Americans living in the Midwest greatly reflects that background. However, I believe the fundamental need to understand one's identity and what we stand for is a shared feeling, penetrating all divides and individuals. I'm dedicating my life to leading conversations about how we see others, each other, and ourselves through visuals and audio.

PERSONAL
In my free time, I like singing in front of my mirror and occasionally recording those sessions for public viewing on Youtube. In times of great stress, I let my dreamer type A personality out to play in the form Excel lists of rural towns I'd like to visit in Norway one day. On Friday nights, I sip boba and watch a new film.
